FIREFIGHTERS released a man trapped following a two-vehicle collision on Friday, February 23.

Emergency services, including fire crews from Holsworthy and Launceston, were called to the road from Boytonbridge Cross to Chapmans Well at around 5.30pm.

Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to extricate the man.

Once he had been released from the vehicle by the fire service, the care of the casualty was handed over to the paramedics.

The crews then made the area safe.
