‘PUBLIC safety is of paramount importance’ reassures a member of the Holsworthy neighbourhood police team following public concern over the recent crime rate in the town.

There has been a noticeable increase in police presence in the town following a number of incidents and although the police are unable to comment on individual cases they have made assurances that they are being proactive in their investigations to ensure public safety.

A spokesperson for the Holsworthy neighbourhood police team said: “Following a number of recent incidents, and increased police activity in the town, police would like to reassure the community that Holsworthy remains a safe place to live and work.

“Arrests have been made in relation to each of these incidents.

“Investigations into these incidents are ongoing, so at this time it would not be appropriate for us to comment further, other than to reassure the residents of Holsworthy that their safety is of paramount importance and we will continue to work with partner agencies and community stakeholders to help ensure that safety.”
