AN update from the Camelford area police sector inspector was presented to the Camelford Community Network Panel recently.

Panel chair Claire Hewlett gave an update in the sector inspector’s absence at the meeting on September 24.

Crime figures have remained ‘fairly consistent’ in the six months the sector inspector has been in the role, but there has been a decrease in more violent crimes.

Work on antisocial behaviour in Camelford is ‘ongoing’, following a number of incidents over the summer.

Referring to County Lines, people should ‘remain vigilant’ but ‘at the moment all is calm’.
