WORK on converting and extending Undershaw for Stepping Stones School at Hindhead will go ahead as planned – despite Undershaw Preservation Trust founder John Gibson confirming he will challenge planning permission granted by Waverley Borough Council in the High Court.

Mr Gibson has instructed solicitors to begin the process of a judicial review into Waverley Borough Council's decision to allow the conversion and extension of the former home of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

The council approved the plans by Stepping Stones special school in February, allowing work on the Grade II Listed building, the demolition of a 1930s extension, and building of a linked two-storey extension.
