RESIDENTS are set to benefit from a brand new service providing engaging, nurturing and developmentally supportive activities for babies and toddlers.
Babies, toddlers and expectant families are warmly invited to join the fun from 9.30am to 11am each week. Families can enjoy a relaxed, friendly atmosphere where children can play with a wide range of toys, while parents and carers connect over refreshments. Each session is led by one of the school’s experienced and qualified nursery staff, ensuring activities are engaging, nurturing and developmentally supportive.
The ‘Stay and Play’ mornings reflect the high-quality Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provision already in place at Lifton Community Academy. The school explained that its early years team are passionate about giving children the very best start to their education, with a strong focus on learning through play, creativity and exploration.
Lifton is also fortunate to benefit from extensive and beautiful outdoor grounds, where children can enjoy nature, fresh air and active play in a safe and stimulating environment. These outside spaces play a key role in the school’s EYFS curriculum and will enrich the experiences of families attending the new sessions
Touching on the new sessions, Mr Adam Hill, headteacher at Lifton Community Academy said: "We are pleased to be opening our doors to local families through our new ‘Stay and Play’ sessions. These mornings provide a warm, welcoming space for babies, toddlers and parents to learn, play and connect together, supported by our experienced nursery staff. We are lucky to have such wonderful grounds and fantastic early years provision here at Lifton, which give children the very best opportunities to develop, explore and grow."
