OUTLINE planning permission for three dwellings near Launceston has been given conditional approval by Cornwall Council.

Mr and Mrs Waters lodged an application with the local authority for “outline planning permission with some matters reserved for the construction of three dwellings, namely access only”, for the properties on land south of the Ranch, Chapel, Launceston.

Cornwall Council gave conditional approval for the outline planning permission, while stipulating a condition that an application for approval of the reserved matters must be made no later than three years from the date of the decision and the development must commence no later than two years from the final approval of reserved matters, or in the case of approval on different dates, the final approval of the last such matter to be approved.

Launceston Town Council indicated support for the proposals, while the HSE Proxy said that while the application lies within the consultation distance of a hazardous installations/nuclear safeguarding zone, it does not meet the criteria for being a significant development, such as an airport, therefore does not need further assessment.
