AROUND 70 Budehaven students performed in '5, 6, 7, 8!' on June 29 and 30.
This was the annual dance showcase featuring classes from within the school curriculum — GCSE and Key Stage 3, as well as the lunchtime and after school groups.
The evening also showcased dances from some of the feeder primary schools — Bude Juniors, St Marks Morwenstow, Whitstone and Jacobstow — making for two exciting evenings of dance.
Every year the show has a theme to tie the pieces together and this year groups were asked to create pieces around the idea of numbers, science and maths topics.
This was a challenging topic to explore through dance but gave the students plenty to think about — from space to electricity, tesellation to geometry, Newton's Law to the chaos theory.
Dances were diverse in mood and music but the enthusiasm and confidence of all of the performers shone through.
A Budehaven spokesperson said: "Congratulations to all who took part, they were two fantastic evenings of dance."
