THROUGH hard work selling cakes, Class 3 at St Stephens Community Academy have raised enough money to pay for a very special visitor to come to their class.

Zaida, a Spanish teacher, spent the afternoon with Class 3 carrying out a range of fun-filled Spanish activities.

A spokesperson for the school said: “It was a fantastic and incredibly rewarding afternoon.”

The children learned all about numbers, colours and names for parts of the body in Spanish.

Class 3 pupil Jersey said: “I enjoyed learning about Spanish colours with the scarves. It looked very beautiful when we were singing the song.”

Oscar added: “I enjoyed learning about body parts through the songs. It was very funny to be walking around like monsters.”
