Since starting in 2015, the event, which starts at 9am and goes on until around 11.30am, has grown year on year as organiser Helen Ward explains.
“It went wonderfully, it was really really good, we served about 100 breakfasts.
“As well as the traditional fried breakfast, there were also donated chocolates, fruit, cereals, croissants and Danish pastries, which were all donated by the community and local businesses.
“On the day we raised £100 for the Camelford Memory Cafe and we also had a Just Giving link and have raised £115 which will also go the memory cafe.”
As well as the food on offer, The Real Junk Food Project turned up where they brought along food from supermarkets where people were able to ‘pay as you feel’ and go home with shopping.
There was also entertainment from Davey Dodds and his son Seb and from Bob Metters from the Tintagel Orpheus Male Voice Choir.
Helen added: “I’d like to thank the chef Tristan Halliday, who works for The Mote restaurant in Port Isaac and his team and Mike Reeve from the Countryman Hotel who brought down some food. The hall was donated by the Camelford Hall committee. Jenny Metters is just amazing and without them we couldn’t do it.
“This was the fourth year and we’re planning on doing it again next year. The first was in 2015 and I didn’t really know what I was doing. We started off with about 60 in the first year and it’s kept growing.
“There was such a busy vibe, it was great. People were even bringing in their dogs in Christmas jumpers.
“I’d like to thank everyone who helped in any way and all the local businesses and individuals who helped. I look forward to doing it again next year.”
