CHILDREN of Otterham Primary School’s Class 1 and Class 2 enjoyed a visit by their friend, Daya, who presented a workshop on Hinduism as part of the children’s religious education studies.

The workshop, which took place on Wednesday, September 28, allowed the children to enjoy some cultural information, followed by dressing up in beautifully coloured, traditional clothing and dancing in the Indian style.

Later in the day, the children took part in some traditional cooking, finding the potato curry and chapattis surprisingly delicious.

Pupil, Martha Hosking, said: “It was great fun and the cooking made us try new foods.”

Another pupil, Jack Lawler, added: “The dancing was fun, especially when we did the ‘light bulb move’!”
