PUPILS at Tregadillett Primary School held a ‘low-energy day’ on March 6.
All children were encouraged to take a torch to school and all the lights were switched off. Teachers planned lessons that used minimal to no technology and, weather permitting, some lessons were held outdoors.
The school recorded its usual energy consumption on an ‘ordinary’ day and recorded it on the 6th to show the pupils the difference.
Pupils are looking forward to a children’s bingo session after school on Friday.
Adults won’t miss out, however, as this will be followed by a ‘grown ups’ bingo at Tregadillett Community Hall on March 31. Both events are being organised by the school’s PTFA to raise funds for the school.
