Recent grants made with money from the Launceston Rotary Shop have supported a wide variety of local groups, who all aim to support locals in different ways.

Funding presented included a cheque for Launceston Town Band, which will be used to purchase a new instrument.

Access Theatre were also delighted to receive a cheque for £500 recently from members of Launceston Rotary Shop.

This group provides opportunities for adults with disabilities to perform twice yearly to the public on the Town Hall stage.

A spokesperson said: “Access Theatre offers opportunities to explore creativity and performance in a safe, friendly and accessible environment.

“Sessions are open to all, but we particularly welcome anyone who feels like they need a more supportive environment.”

The summer show is now in rehearsal, dates of performance to be announced later.

Funding was also presented to the Money Advice Centre.
