STUDENTS at Holsworthy Community College are celebrating after receiving their GCSE results, as they prepare to take the next steps in their educational journey.
Staff and students came together to recognise the achievements of all the pupils, with the entire College community ‘incredibly proud’ of its students, many of whom are now looking forward to progressing onto their post-16 education pathways.
Mr Phil Ruse, vice principal said: “We are incredibly proud of the collective achievements of this Year 11 cohort. Their results reflect a strong commitment across the College to the importance of English and Maths qualifications as integral to future pathways and opportunities. The outstanding performance across a diverse range of creative arts, sport, and technology-based subjects is also a testament to the rich and varied curriculum available to Holsworthy students.
“There are too many individual success stories to mention, but every student should feel proud of their personal achievements, the effort they’ve put in, and the perseverance they’ve shown—often in the face of adversity. I wish every Year 11 student success in their next steps and encourage them to stay connected with the HCC community.”
Andrew Sweeney, headteacher added: "We are absolutely delighted with the performance of our Year 11 students. These results are a testament to their commitment and perseverance, and every student should feel incredibly proud of what they have achieved. Today is a celebration of their hard work, and we couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments."
Mr Sweeney also expressed gratitude to those who supported the students throughout their journey, adding: "I would like to sincerely thank our students, their families, our dedicated staff, and the wider Holsworthy community for their continued support.
“As we look ahead to a new academic year, we remain committed to working together to inspire, support, and empower every student to thrive and succeed."
