A PLAYGROUP has received an ‘outstanding’ judgement in all areas from Ofsted for the fourth time in eight years.
The latest Ofsted report for Ashwater Playgroup was published on March 16.
The play leader Alison Hampton said: “We are all absolutely delighted to have been recognised as an outstanding setting for a fourth time. It is a testament to the huge amount of hard work and dedication shown by the staff, committee and volunteers.
“We are proud to be able to offer a consistently high quality of care and education for the children who attend our setting.”
Alison added: “We have seen many children pass through the group over the years and our aim is always to provide them with a happy, safe and stimulating environment and the best possible start to their school lives.”
The latest Ofsted report stated: “Children thrive during their time in the playgroup. Staff consistently reflect on the individual ways in which children learn. They use their exceptional teaching skills to ensure children become independent and successful learners.
“Children have close and secure relationships with staff in this warm and nurturing environment. Staff continue to have a significant capacity to sustain this outstanding provision.
“Children’s well-being and education remain at the forefront of staff’s commitment.”
Ashwater Playgroup is currently open 9am to 12noon Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and 9am to 3.30pm on Thursdays.
There are still a few places available for two, three and four-year-olds from September this year.
