EGLOSKERRY Primary School was full of awe and wonder before the end of term as they celebrated the end of their ‘Inventions’ topic.
Throughout their special activity week, children consolidated their learning by applying knowledge to different contexts. To facilitate this, each day was themed around an inventor or invention.
From Traction steam engines and Trevithick to Archimedes, pupils were immersed in practical and experience-led learning opportunities.
Principal Mrs Emma Kerr said: “The reason why we invest so much time and care into creating these learning opportunities is to strengthen children’s love of learning and the process of ‘how’ they learn through play and experience. Building this skill and the resilience it requires, results in children who are life-long learners, ready to tackle the multi-faceted world that awaits them in the future.”
