Launceston and District Cats Protection held their annual fayre on Saturday, April 15, at Lifton Community Centre.

On a glorious spring day, the hall was soon bustling with people who had come along to support our charity. All thanks to the generosity of people happy to donate to us, we were able to fill the tables with a fantastic selection of good quality items at reasonable prices. The cake and produce table proved popular as ever so thanks go to the volunteers for their efforts in making it so.

They raised an amazing £1,387.57 which was considerably higher than last year’s Easter fayre.

A spokesperson said: “Well done everybody! We are grateful to Marks & Spencer, Tesco and Philip Warren & Son for kindly donating towards this event. It was very much appreciated.

“A big thank you to all of the lovely people who came to support us. We always enjoy meeting and sharing cat tales, knowing that without you, we could not continue our work to help the cats in our care. Thanks also must go to the fundraising volunteers for working tirelessly beforehand as well as on the day to make the event such a success.”

All of the money raised will go to the local branch of Cats Protection.
