Delabole Carnival celebrated its 10th birthday on Saturday, July 10 with a cake and party held in the carnival marquee in the village playing fields. The afternoon was celebrated with family games, car boot, cream teas and of course the cutting of the birthday cake which was performed by the carnival president, Mr John Lugg, and donated to the carnival celebrations by Brenda Burnard. The evening was rounded off with live music from Audius Maximus, which brought in the crowds to help start celebrating the week ahead. This was the start of many events planned throughout the week leading up to the grand carnival procession, which starts at 7pm on Saturday, July 17.
