As part of their Andarras celebrations, children in Key Stage 1 at Launceston Primary School (Windmill) welcomed parents to their performance of Squeaky Weeky recently.

The story, which had been written by the children, was based on the well known story of Chicken Licken. The children found their inspiration for a circus theme after a visit to Newquay Zoo. Since then, they have spent a term preparing for the performance. The children have been lucky enough to learn drama and dance skills from various professionals who have visited the school, as well as learning puppet making skills and recording sound effects. T

he Key Stage 1 staff have learnt many new skills and are eager to continue with their creative curriculum. The children have thoroughly enjoyed the last term and performed on Thursday with enthusiasm and a huge smile on their faces! Parents were hugely complimentary and were impressed at the obvious hard work put in by both children and staff.
