PEOPLE across the Post area are being encouraged to take part in a new campaign to spread a smile.

Charlie Bears, based in Launceston, has launched its #Bearinthewindow campaign to help spread some cheer during this difficult and worrying time.

Despite the uncertainty which has taken a grip of the country over recent weeks, Charlie Bears is doing their bit to provide some uplifting positivity, by encouraging people everywhere to pop their favourite teddy bear in their window and take a photo for social media, spreading joy to key workers on their way to work and social media users during this period of self-isolation.

Kimberly Fagg, retail manager at Charlie Bears, told the Post: “We started this campaign as we all know that everyone is feeling very concerned at the moment for many reasons and we all stand together to get us through with at least a smile or two.

“It is even tougher on people who are isolating and might well be having to do that alone. It is a lonely time for many and so we wanted to make things a little bit more paw-some whilst being cooped up inside.”

The campaign is also known as #Charliebearscare, and is Charlie Bears’ way of getting people to show that they care, even though they cannot be with those in isolation.

“Our little bears offer such comfort during times like this and they can happily protect you and give you lots of hugs during a daunting and stressful time,” Kimberly continued.

To take part, all you need to do is take a picture of your favourite bear and post on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, adding the hashtag #Bearinthewindow and #Charliebearscare, and then everyone can easily enjoy all of these photos by following the tags.

You can also join the fun on their Facebook page, Charlie Bears Official, to enjoy lots of bear posts throughout the week!
