WHIST players from the Devon-Cornwall borders, including Launceston, Camelford, Okehampton and Mary Tavy travelled for their annual whist holiday to Cardigan Bay for a week. During the day, trips were taken out and after dinner, they all got down to some serious business — that of playing whist!

One of the aims of the holiday is to raise some money for charity and the players raised the magnificent sum of £604. This has been given to Cancer Research UK (£386) and the rest divided between the Devon and Cornwall Air Ambulances (£218). Since 2006, they have raised £2001 for Cancer Research and £363 for the Devon and Cornwall  Air Ambulances.
