THE Proclamation of King Charles III was given by Camelford’s Mayor outside Enfield Park on Sunday.

Mark Baker of the Camelford Town Band sounded the National Anthem.

Following the announcement of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s sad passing, Cllr Rob Rotchell, Mayor, on behalf of Camelford Town Council, said: “It is with great sadness that we have learned of the death of Her Majesty the Queen.

“Throughout her life she has served our country with remarkable dedication and commitment, whilst leading us through times of enormous social change and especially at times of national crisis.

“Many of you will have never known another monarch and this is a very sad time. She touched the lives of so many people of all generations and will be greatly missed by the Royal Family, a grateful nation and around the world. CTC will continue to offer services as usual and conduct its business during the period of mourning.

“God save the King.”
